Marla is the Chief Operating Officer of the Indie Record Label, True Groove Records, cited as being the “fastest rising record label in NYC”. She scouts new talent, plays an integral role in artist development and is a producer on many of the label's music videos, multi-media live performances, and theatre productions.

Tomás and I had been working together for a few years when he asked me to join him in running his record label True Groove which had just been offered a distribution deal with The Orchard. He said it would be a triumvirate: Mase, Doncker and James Dellatacoma, the longtime studio engineer and studio manager for Producer, Bill Laswell, whom we had already been working with for quite some time. James and Tomás co-produce all of True Groove's albums. Little did I know….. Since its inception we have produced and released over 500 songs and over 100 projects – albums, eps, singles, music videos, concerts - all different musical genres, all by incredible artists. Again, my younger self would never ever have seen this coming. Not in a million years. Proof that you never know in life where you might land as long as you stay open to possibility….I am very proud of our work.
